As a Community School, we have many resources available to our families and scholars. These include:

  • A universal snack program which provides snack to all students during their school day
  • A Caring Closet onsite which contains new and gentle used clothing and shoe donations to help scholars feel confident and ready to learn
  • Food pantry programming is provided throughout the school year
  • School-based Vision Program: provides any scholar who qualifies with a free exam and 2 free pairs of glasses each year
  • School-based Mental Health Program: provides scholars that qualify with free mental health services onsite during their school day
  • Laundry support and other basic needs supports provided thanks to partnerships and donors
  • FREE Field trips ---every scholar is eligible to attend 2 field trips a year completely free of charge thanks to partnerships and donors
  • Family Event Programming: family dinner night events are held on a regular basis to provide an opportunity to meet and engage with other Howe families while enjoying a free meal
  • Home Visiting Program provided by our partners at the Howe Community Resource Center which provides families expecting a new baby or with children ages 0-4 years old a home visitor to guide in child development and provide support to the family

You and your family can access these resources by talking with your scholar's teacher, the School Social Worker, School Counselor, Community Schools Resource Coordinator, or any other staff member at Howe and they will get you connected.
